The central theme of our research is to use physical chemistry approaches, specifically spectroscopies, microscopies, and electrochemistry, to tackle challenging problems in materials and molecular sciences. We perform cutting-edge research at the interface of physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials science, and heterogenous catalysis with a major focus on the structure-property relationships of complex nanostructures and the interfacial molecular transformations on nanostructured surfaces.
We conduct curiosity- and hypothesis-driven fundamental research with broad implications to real-world applications. We welcome motivated young scientists to join our group. If you are interested, please contact the PI through email at wang344@mailbox.sc.edu for further discussions.
