Hao Jing
Qingfeng Zhang
Hao Jing received his M.S. from Fudan University. He graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2015. At UofSC, Dr. Jing received Bouknight Teaching Awards (3 times), the Society for Applied Spectroscopy Inaugural Award for Best Poster Presentation, and Hiram and Lawanda Allen Award for Research Excellence in Chemistry and Biochemistry. After a postdoc stint under the supervision of Prof. Xiangfeng Duan at University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Jing joined the faculty of Chemistry at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2018.
Qingfeng Zhang received his B.S. from Fuzhou University. He graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2017. At UofSC, Dr. Zhang received numerous prestigious awards, such as the Breakthrough Graduate Scholar Award, the Patheon Award for Research Excellence in Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad ($ 6,000 cash award), Inaugural UofSC NanoCenter Dissertation Fellowship ($ 25,000), SPARC Graduate Research Award ($ 5,000 research grant), and International Precious Metals Institute Outstanding Student Award (Honorable Mention). Dr. Zhang did postdoctoral research with Profs. Stephan Link and Christy Landes of Rice University, holding a J. Evans Attwell-Welch Postdoctoral Fellowship. Dr. Zhang joined the faculty of Chemistry at Wuhan University in China as a Specially Appointed Full Professor in 2020.
Lichao Sun received her B.S. from Dalian Institute of Technology. She graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2017. She joined the faculty of San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas as a Chemistry Instructor and Lab Manager. She is currently an Instructor in Department of Chemistry at Wuhan University in China.
Lichao Sun
Grace Li received her B.S. from Wuhan Institute of Technology. She graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2018. At UofSC, she received a SPARC Graduate Research Award ($ 5,000 research grant) from the UofSC Office of Vice President for Research. After postdoc training with Prof. John Flake of Louisiana State University, she joined the faculty of Chemistry at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China as an Associate Professor in 2020.

Esteban Villarreal received his B.S. from University of Pittsburgh. He graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2019. He was supported by a GAANN Fellowship sponsored by the United States Department of Education. After graduation, he joined Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) as a postdoctoral researcher.

Mengqi (Will) Sun received his B.S. form University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2021. After graduation, he joined Prof. Greg Liu’s group at Virginia Tech as a postdoc. He is currently doing a second postdoc with Prof. David Ginger at University of Washington, Seattle.
Mengqi (Will) Sun
Zixin Wang received her B.S. from South China University of Technology. She graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2022. While at UofSC, she received a SPARC Graduate Research Award ($ 5,000 research grant) from the UofSC Office of Vice President for Research and an Outstanding Student Award (Honorable Mention) from the International Precious Metals Institute. After graduation, she joined Prof. Jesse Jokerst’s group at University of California, San Diego as a postdoc. In 2023, she started her second postdoc at Los Alamos National Lab.
Zixin (Zoe) Wang
Kexun Chen received his B.S. from East China University of Science and Technology and his M.S. from University of Akron. He graduated from UofSC with a Ph.D. degree in 2023. While at UofSC, he received a SPARC Graduate Research Award ($ 5,000 research grant) from the UofSC Office of Vice President for Research and the Guy F. Lipscomb Award for the Senior Graduate Student Achievement Awards. After graduation, he joined Prof. Tim Lian’s group at Emory University as a postdoc.

Yang Zhang received his B.S. from Nankai University and his Ph.D. from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, respectively. He was a postdoc at UofSC (2017-2019), supported by the China Scholarship Council. He is currently an Associate Professor at Minjiang University, Fuzhou, China.

Tingting Zheng was a visiting graduate student from Nanjing University in China (sponsored by the China Scholarship Council and co-advised by Jun-Jie Zhu of Nanjing University) from 2012 to 2014. She graduated with a Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University in 2016 and joined the faculty of Chemistry at East China Normal University in Shanghai as an Assistant Professor and a Chenhui Scholar in 2017. She was promoted to Associate Professor and Full Professor in 2020 and 2022, respectively. She was a recipient of the Excellent Young Scientist Award from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Li Zhang received her B.S. from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and her Ph.D. from City College of New York, respectively. She was a postdoc at UofSC from 2010-2012.
